I don’t do it alone! Here’s who you can find working in the studio:
Chris Dahlquist – Artist & Creative Director
A lifelong artist, Chris is the driving force and the vision of the studio. Chris creates all of the original images – from the image capture to the printing, and oversees the finishing and framing of the final pieces. [Read Chris’ full biography and artist statement.] When Chris is not creating, you can find her enjoying live music, paddling her kayak (including multi-week adventures), or enjoying a good book. Extra points when found doing more than one!
Kyle Dahlquist – Studio Operations
Kyle wears many hats in the studio besides husband: Operations Manager, Transportation Supervisor, IT Specialist, and Head of the Shipping Department. However, he’s also a multi-instrumentalist with a varied music career, from playing brass in pop bands, to theremin in an avant-garde group, to accordion in a cabaret ensemble, to pedal steel in an alt-country band. He is also rather proud to have played a solo accordion etude in the new Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts. Kyle can currently be seen playing in Kansas City in various projects, including Victor & Penny, Men of Men, Amy Farrand & the Like, and The Band That Fell to Earth KC, and he can also be heard adding textures on many local recordings.
Megan Gallant – former Studio Assistant
After spending years as the studio’s right-hand woman, in 2020 Megan embarked on her latest adventure of moving to Santa Cruz, CA. She is sorely missed, but we also know that she thrives on new experiences and will flourish wherever she is planted!
